Rejoice
The 40 days of Lent are about preparation and repentance. Easter is about our salvation through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. This makes it a time of rejoicing.
“For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by his life. More than that, we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.”
Romans 5:10-11, ESV
This rejoicing in Christ is the same as King David’s call for rejoicing.
“May all who seek you rejoice and be glad in you! May those who love your salvation say evermore, “God is great!”.”
Psalm 70:4, ESV
One of the main ways to rejoice is through song. This is what the Book of Psalms is all about. A psalm is a song or poem used in worship.
“But let all who take refuge in you rejoice; let them ever sing for joy, and spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may exult in you.”
Psalm 5:11, ESV
So, prepare yourselves to rejoice in your reconciliation with God the Father.
